Entrepeneurs Convention 2014

This is the last National Entrepreneur’s Convention ever.
We’re not going to run another one.
No Convention 2015.

You heard it here first.

If I was making the decision on this years event right now, there’s no way I’d be booking the ICC, no way I’d be planning to sell 1,500 tickets and take a couple of weeks out to prepare 2 days of killer content.

And I’ve learned a lot.

I’ve probably learned more about growing businesses in the last 10 months than I learned in 10 long years before that.
I haven’t just learned.  I’ve put it into practice.  I’ve done what so many fail to…
                          ...I’ve implemented.

My business has DOUBLED in size
since the start of this year.

Doubled.  In just a few months.

I set up my own business nearly a decade ago and since those early days of My Mag (when we doubled from 1 staff to 2, and then again all the way from 2 to 4!) I’ve never seen anything like it. 
I started the year with 47 staff, now we’ve got 95 and we’re still recruiting like crazy.

I haven’t got time to run this event.

I’ve got too much on. Too much to do. 
Our business has moved on massively since the heady days of the ICC last September.  I realised that we can achieve so much more for people by doing their marketing for them than we can by talking about it or teaching it.  We’re moving into Done-For-You marketing in a big way. 
We’ve dipped our toe in the water with Club+, we’re rolling out our new Premier service, and there’s more (a lot more) to come.  We’re serious about creating Done-For-You marketing that works for EVERY business, no matter what market or category you’re in.


Moving forward, we’re selling RESULTS,
not courses, not training and not big events.


That doesn’t mean that I’m going to completely stop teaching and training people, just that my motivation to share our most powerful and valuable content with whoever wants to shell out a few hundred quid to spend a couple of days relaxing in a comfortable chair learning everything that we’ve worked hard for, sweated over, discovered and argued about since last September isn’t anything like as strong as it used to be!
With our Done-For-You services we can make much more real lasting impact on many more businesses – and that’s what gives me a buzz now.
I’m more focussed than ever on where I spend my time - and where my staff spend theirs.  If you’ve been paying attention over the last few months, you’ll know that we haven’t been selling any one-off events, no new products, no nothing.
We’re 100% focussed on growing what I call our Core Business.  That means we can’t go off on tangents and do different projects. And the Convention is a BIG project. 
To do it right - to do it justice – is no mean feat.  1,500 people is a LOT of people. The ICC is a ‘proper’ venue.  Steve Wozniak is the only living Apple founder, a busy guy, and a billionaire to boot. 
This is a big event by any measure.
                        It’s going to take time and focus to get it right.
                                                                                And we will get it right.

working right now and - importantly - what’s not.

So the content at the event this year is brand spanking NEW. It’s not the same old material rehashed, it’s new, it’s exciting and it’s working right now in 2014.

We’ve even cracked the art of buying cold data. My team have been trying to get this to work for years but we haven’t been getting consistent enough results to scale it up properly. But Smithy and his team are 96 days into our biggest cold data test ever and the results have blown me away. They’re still tweaking the system but we’re buying a lot of cold data and smashing it out of the park.

So I’ll cover all that and more in September – all the nitty-gritty details and the test results – it truly is going to be a great couple of days.

I’ve got a good fortnight’s work to mix these ingredients up so I deliver an event to be proud of, but I’ll put in the hours, you can be sure of that.

Now, before I start talking about the content I’m going to cover at the event, I just want to clarify a couple of things.
1. There’ll Be No Selling From The Stage

Firstly, the rules are the same as last year.  No selling from the stage.  You’re not spending money here to sit in a room and be pitched at.  Leave your chequebook at home, I’m not going to try and sell you anything.

I WILL have some of my Trusted Suppliers at the event.  There WILL be a small exhibitor area.  These guys are experts in their field, and they are taking time out of their businesses to man stands and talk to you over 2 days.  That is a service my suppliers and I are providing free of charge.  I will be talking about some stuff from stage that will make you think “how would I do that” and my Trusted Suppliers will often have the answer.

2. My Private Talks with Sir Richard Branson  

Secondly, I WILL be talking to you about what happened when I spent a weekend with Richard Branson at the end of last year.  I’ve had a few people “join the dots” and ask the question. 

It’s no coincidence that I spent two days talking to Sir Richard in the Caribbean and 6 month’s later my business has exploded.  I’ll share everything at the Convention. Worry not. It will be revolutionary for many.
